Planning on going turbo...

I've decided to go FI with turbo..probably the Greddy kit although it isn't out yet.

Anyways do I need to build up my motor or anything? What should I take care of before going this route? I've herd that the greddy kit doesn't really need a built motor and is more "safe" for daily driving...I don't know much about turbo so any help is gooood..thanks

Oh yeah I'm looking for a daily driver type of setup. Also is the F-MAX kit good? What would you guys suggest?

The majority of the bolt on GReddy kits will supposedly pass emissions and carry CARB approval. To get the most out of any kit you will need to build your engine (I'm guessing the GReddy is still over a year away) to support the boost. Also, getting an engine management system instead of piggy backs will be a nice place to invest money as well if you want it to be reliable.

People have said that you can run the 6-8 psi of boost with the F-Max kits reliably on a stock bottom end but it's always a good idea to upgrade if you have the time.

HOWEVER, if you "don't know much about turbo" study it, reasearch it, go though all the options. Since if you are going to get a turbo on your car and not understand how it works, you might as well have a "take my money" sign on you.
