Partially tuned built h23...

Well over the last year or so i've been building my motor up and finally got it done and started about 3 weeks ago. So i went to get it dyno tuned and here are the results...

i was shooting for at least 500whp but was having head lifting problems so this was my last run because coolant/oil was spitting out the back of my block and i blew a radiator and a radiator hose. this run was with 20 lbs with a t3/t67.

Wow, that's sick.

Make sure you run ARP head studs and a copper-coated OEM gasket. That should help your head seal. If you still have problems, you may need to deck the head just a tiny bit to make sure it is still level. I know some friends that had coolant issues that resulted in overheating. After they overheated, the head warped enough not to seal well.

i was using arp head studs and a cooper coated oem gasket. the problem was the head studs were put in using the ARP "hand tight" method. when i went to change the head gasket i got the head off and all but 4 head studs were loose. but now i got then torqued down with a new gasket so i should be fine. hopefully money permitting i can get tuned within the next two weeks. shooting for over 500whp.

is this gonna be a track car? i don't see 500 whp to be feasable on the street. i have my motor built and am probably shooting for around 400whp for track and 350 for street. looks like your gonna have a monster.

Something doesn't seem right.... 360whp from 2.3 liters with a t3/t67? Looks like you have alot more power to extract. Running 3inch dp and exhaust?
