Which One? (AEM EMS)

I'm so confussed.

For my 2001 Lude.

Some sites say 30-1020 and some 30-1060.

With the 30-1060 there is no Uego option.

Which one are you guys running?

oops forgot caps sorry.

I'm not asking about the base maps. I'm asking about application part #'s.

ie on this site it has 30-1020 for the lude.
http://www.coximport.com/aem/emsapps.html

But on AEM's site it's 30-1060.

I think AEM has two different types of EMS for sale.

1) is vehicle specific

2) is a generic box that you must build from scratch.

i could be wrong though.

Yes. Everyone says that.
BUT, if you have a good tuned map to start with then making the adjustments for location/altitude is VERY easy. I can change my maps to adapt to any prelude with 550cc injectors, AEM WBO2 & AEM boost control in 15 minutes and have it running same as mine. Save em on a day - 2 days of drivability tuning.

Remember, the hardest part about tuning is the drivability. Power can be done in hours while a good drivability tune can take 2 days of tuning to get correct.

Base maps on the other hand are designed for starting the car ONLY. Not drivability and not power. It is designed to start the motor and thats IT. Any good tuner can put a from scratch starting map together in minutes. When John tuned my car he built a map in minutes and the car started on the first try. There is a basemap.

The maps im offering, with a few minute adjustments, will be drop in ready drivability tuned maps ... then all you need to do is adjust for power. Plus if you have AEM WBO2 with O2 feedback enabled then the ECU will make all the necessary adjustments for altitude/location without even touching the map.

You think honda puts different ECU's in all of their cars that are sold on the east coast v. the west coast or the mojave desert v. aspen? Nope.

I and my friend mike who is built and boosted are both running 1020. John Reed (my tuner) says to run the 1020 on the prelude period.

I haven't kept up with AEM stuff in awhile, but it's possible that the 1060 integrates the wideband function into the box. I think AEM was trying that stuff (more money for them).

I think the 1020 is the older version, while the 1060 is the updated one.
