Ok!! So Why The **** Are My Check Engine And Atts Lights On Now?!?!?!

Since about mid august now my car has been pretty much running ****y most of the time. The CE and atts lights randomly come and go, it boggs down under boost alot of the time, it has developed a slightly lumpy idle, if i drive it for a while then park it, it often times won't start until i've turned the ignition on and off several times while pumping the gas pedal, and today it died while i had it idling to warm in the lot a work. It has keyless start so i started it today and left it for about 20 mins. as i came out to it it was attempting to restart itself. I got in and had to go through the whole on off pump the gas thing and it finally started. as i drove through the lot in 2nd gear it just died. Again i had to on off pump and finally start. I drove it home with the warning lights on and pulled the ecu fuse when i got home to reset it. I let it sit for about 3 hours and put the fuse back and it started right up but the lights wont go off. normally they will atleast go off for a few days after resetting the ecu. Jackson keeps saying "oh check the ground to the box. thats probably all it is." BULL****!!! I've done that a hundred times now. THATS NOT IT!! I didnt spend $3500 for my baby to have these incurable problems. Can anyone help me. Should i demand a new box from jackson or what?

Check the MIL code and let us know what you find.

Sounds like a problem with the MAP wiring, but that's just a total guess.

GROUND GROUND GROUND!

Did you or the installer solder the connectors to the ecu harness or use the ****ty connectors they sent it with? My installer used the ****ty connnectors and I had the same problem...the car would work great ...than all of a sudden...CEL...and 5 secs later..ATTS. The jerkyness you feel with the ATTS light is the computer in limp mode and the ATTS not turned on....Reset the ecu.

You need to go in and check all the wiring...hard solder everything and tape it. Make sure your ground for the ECU and the other wiring is flush and complete. The manual for the Prelude shows like 60ish ground points on the car. Check all your grounds. Look for any open spots in any of your wiring. Also check the wiring on your auto start since it has to tap into the ecu.

I just checked the mil code and it is the map sensor. 3 quick flashes. I don't understand why it took 2 months for this stuff to start happening. Its either the jackson box or the wiring connections since the both the cel and atts lights are on and they both connect into the box. the atts light gave me a code 43 i think. it was sorta hard to tell.

It is your wiring. When the engine throws a CEL ...many times it will throw ghost codes. This often throws the atts..I battled with JR trying to figure it out. Check all your connectors and your grounds.
