When doing a buildup, is it really necessary to have new oem water and oil pumps put in? Im getting ready to get the block built, and this was part of the deal. My current oil and water pumps only have 36k miles on them. I was kind of hoping I wouldn't have to get new ones to cut back on cost.

well people always tell me to change the water pump. some say it's ok to reuse the oil pump.
