Wats up all,
My friend wants to trade his zex nos kit for my cold air intake and my header, he made me an offer I cant refuse. I wanted to know will it be efficient to spray nos on the intercooler? Will I gain hp or torque? Or will it just be a little better for the intercooler because it does not have to cool the air down as much...plz tell me if you would put it and why. Give me advice if you already put it, on how to install it(if there are different ways?). thx po
-John
I'm not a boost guru or nitrous guru, but i believe there is a difference between nos and cryogenics. Nos is sprayed into the intake, while cryogenics (CO2) is sprayed onto the intercooler.

that all depends on how much boost ur running to begin with. Usually they say 25 to 50 shot on a stock n/a block.
If i was in ur situation i wouldnt do it....unless i built the block and was running mid boost

Thx for the advice... I am going to try the Nos on the intercooler just because im curious on how much power I can gain. I ll let you guys know the gains once I dyno the car hopefully in 2-3 weeks if all goes as planed...thx
I will trade the selinoid that comes with the kit to my mechanic, for an other selinoid... Not sure the names. He told me that its like an oval hose that has many little holes and when activated it will spray it all over the intercooler....
I have a ZEX kit and have been using a 55HP shot on a stock engine. No turbo, only intake and exhaust. Everything runs fine, and I\'m on my 3rd bottle.
Do you really want to pay $7/lb to spray down your intercooler? Save up the cash and redo your exhaust or cat, that would be a better use of money.
Anyway, you can get the parts from ZEX to make it a 25-30 HP shot, and I would do that even with a turbo. Keep in mind that although the engine will be putting out more power, it will have a significantly reduced intake air temperature. That should help with lowering the chance of knocking.
Finally, if you do use it to spray down the IC, then I think you should go with compressed CO2 instead since it is cheaper, and will serve the same purpose.
