need help on oil feed line to oil pressure sensor!!!
hey guys.. i m putting in a fmax turbo kit and have run into numorous problems.. one would be the oil feed line to the turbine.. does anyone know where else i can install this sucker other then to the oil pressure switch/sensor? i have a 98 prelude sh and the oil pressure switch/sensor is located rite b/t the oil filter/intake manifold roughtly... towards the engine.. there's no way to reach it with out taking the whole sucker apart... i don't want to go there.
anyone with any info on this?
You can use the 1/8" tap to tap out the port and screw the connector right in, like I did, or if you're worried about taping the head, order a Autometer 1/8" BSPT adapter.
thanks man... i was about to do that but wasn't sure if i could do that.. or if it was rite cuz i had no pix to illustrate.. the diagrams in the service manual suck like a *****...

The 1/8" BSPT adapter from Autometer has a male 1/8" BSPT thread on one end and a female 1/8" NPT thread on the other. The F-Max kit comes with a -3AN to 1/8" NPT Male thread on the end that's supposed to tap into the head.
In that picture the braided line actually goes to an Oil Pressure sender I installed on someone elses car. It has the 1/8" BSPT adapter screwed into the head. The 1/8" NPT to -3AN adapter fits into that and the -3 braided line fits onto that.
Yes, there is no need to tap a hole/ THe 1/8" BSPT adapter screws right in to the stock port.

Cool, I'm glad to know about this, better spending the 10$ then deal with tapping another engine. It worked fine, but you can never be 100% certain no metal bits get inside.
