need help, car running, idle bad, new built motor, new turbo

here is the situation. i just recently dropped all the stuff in my sig into my car and i started it for the first time today. it started just fine on the first crank. but it idles like it has huge cams. it surges. when i rev it up it is fine and sounds really healthy. i know i need to get it tuned but i was thinking that since i had my hondata tuned with my old setup this new setup shouldn't change the idle. my old setup was a stock block h22 with a greddy turbo kit and 550 injectors. i still have the 550 injectors since i know the 100cc injectors will flood it. my mechanic says that i just need to tune it because i'm running really rich during low rpm. but how would changing the motor and turbo kit make my car run rich, if i'm still using the same program and the same injectors. if anything shouldn't it be leaner? also i don't know if this helps but my compression is now 9:1 and i don't have the exhuast hooked up yet (which means 1 o2 sensor isn't hooked up), it just running open downpipe. would these factors mess with the idle?

sounds like my old car until i got it adjusted. most likely ur idle is off and ur running rich becuz u have different compression now (10:1 to basically 9:1, huge difference). i'd say adjust ur idle for now and go tune ur car before something goes wrong. i ran open dp, until i sold the car, wasnt a problem for me.

does the rpm jump up n down lik a mad man???

if ur bov hose/silicon hoses is leakin ur rpm DONT jump... rather it shakes @ low rpm...

but if ur vaccum hoses around ur throttle body/ waste gate to pipping.. the idle will holds it HIGH....

i had both problem before but nothin to krazy....

maybe u need to get it tune quickk before something goes wrong....

good luck..
