Scrap the whole JRSC idea....it was only meant to blow on a stock motor...to blow on a fully build motor is a waste of money. I dunno about a 9psi setup pully 250 at the wheels, much less 12psi pulling 300whp...those sound very very optimistic and if it did, it probably wouldn't be very reliable. The way the JRSC is set up, it's really hard to make plentiful and reliable power. No intercooler, no aftercooler, nothing to cool the intake charge...doesn't really work with nitrous...i guess you could use a water mist setup, etc. For the amount of money you are dropping on this project that includes a fully build bottom end and some headwork, it's makes so much sense to go turbo if your goal is 300whp. A turbo setup is as easy as a JRSC...the only challenge lies with the intercooler piping. My f-max setup required no extra cutting, welding whatsoever. In the long run, the JRSC is a real pain, if you haven't read in previous posts, there's alot of moving the brake lines and you will need to disconnect the JRSC to do routine valve adjustments. With the turbo setup you can keep the 10:1 CR for quicker spools/less lag and even more so if you get a ball bearing turbo. BTW, the stock head is plenty good for 300whp, just get some cam gears and dial down the overlap. The only other headwork you would need is possibly a nice pnp.

TURBO TURBO TURBO

250-260 whp on a JRSC@9psi with a manual tranny and a/f ratios lower than 12.5:1 is dyno proven.

Agreed, this is the disadvantage of the JRSC. With un upgraded fuel system and running a/f 12.5:1 at 6 psi or 11.5:1 or lower for 9, the system has been shown to be reliable.

It's not really that bad, took me 10 minutes with no harm whatsoever to the lines.

Actually, the proper word would be remove, and yes, this does suck.

I do agree that if boosting above 9 psi, a turbo is a much better option. Too many things can go wrong with the blower above 9. The last thing I would need is the rotors falling apart and falling into the combustion chambers.

If I could do things again I would go with a turbo instead. But then again, if I could do things again I would go with a manual tranny The nice thing about the JRSC is that it is CARB legal.

328 WHP Stock head......no need for headwork just a waste of Money. All I have is springs and retainers which are cheap so I could rev to 8000 RPM.
