My brother's 97 Prelude (11.01 @ 139MPH Full interior and all)

He goes by TurboLude97 over on Honda-Tech.com

It hasn't seen the track in 2 or so years.. maybe 3 now due to it having a full interior and him wanting to keep it that way and trying to have a custom roll cage designed to fit around everything hasn't happened yet. I think he just sold off his 1600cc injectors a few months ago so he can detune and use pump gas again so it's not a track only or you're paying out the wazoo for gas type deal.

Over on Honda-tech he was the 3rd fastest turbo prelude on the site.. And that's racing at Beaver Springs if any of you have ever been there... unlike most tracks that have a slight decline to mid point and then an incline, it's an incline the whole way, to the point with my Prelude I'd have to use the E-brake to hold me at the line so I didn't start rolling backwards. They also won't let you run slicks in the 4 banger street class anymore and have it count towards Points or their Top Time/Speed list..

TURBO/NITROUS

1. MD23vtec: 10.007 @ 147 TURBO
2. OaksRacing: 10.9@ 135 mph TURBO
3. Turbolude97: 11.01@139 TURBO

Here's a quick list of what's in it (though this isn't everything)

as for the setup....
h22 built
gt40R
1600 cc's
areomotive pump, fpr
str rail
full-race topmount
GE IM
DSS Stage 3 Axles
24.5x8.5 M&H
and some other stuff...

Here's a video of one of his 11.5 @ 130 runs (the coolant overflow ended up puking some fluid and causing a little slipping of the tires)

As you can see in the beginning they really don't have the track setup for FWD cars.. you can only back in so far to get the tires wet and sometimes it doesn't quite get the fronts to do your burnout and warm them up

Here's his 11.01 @ 139 run (after which.. no running was allowed at Beaver Springs until the cage was installed)

Ill try to find them.. most use to be on his Penn State personal pages but those get deleted a year or two after graduation.

I know I have some somewhere but my picture organizational skills = non-existant lol

And the engine bay doesn't look too different than a stock besides the giant Turbo and massive GE intake manifold. He had an Erik's racing TB but had to swap me it for my stock as the larger TB wouldnt clear the firewall with the GE IM.

For tuning he's using the good old Hondata S300 with two stage launch control and full throttle shifting

Lol yes I'm 100% sure its my brothers car. I figured I'd post it up just for fun. Showing what you can build over time. He started with a small kit and worked his way up.

He moved a few months ago and hasn't gotten internet yet but here's his facebook (some pics of the car there):

And here's mine (pretty sure I have a few pics of mine + two after accident pics when it was done for):

I think the biggest thing is I want a prelude again. Love the looks and driving it. Since he was Mr Drag racing.. I got him to go to a SCCA Solo II event with me once. Since that's what I always did, plus with how his car was setup, my semi-stock NA lude put a solid beating on him lol
