Re: more jrsc problemm HELP

code 14 is for the idle air control valve. this valve is relocated during the jrsc installation. carefully check the two air lines which lead in and out of it, and the two coolant lines as well. one of the coolant lines is below the valve and fairly hard to see unless you remove it. finally, check the electrical connector leading to it. perhaps you damaged it, pulled the wire, etc. there is a detailed procedure in the helms manual for diagnosing iacv failures

if you don't have a helms manual, get one immediately. you should not have a single mod on your car without one. period!

finally, the problem could indeed be exacerbated by use of the AC. AC increases load, and the response under idle to increased load is to increase the idle speed. that's the job of the iacv.

Similar Prob.

I'm not getting any codes, but check this out...

When I drive my car without using the AC it runs perfect.... Now when I turn on my AC it still runs ok but when I come to a stop the idle drops down to like 100-200 rpms for a sec then back up to normal everytime...

Now if I turn off my AC after running it for awhile, the next few stop lights my car will die when I come to a stop, soon as I push the cluth in the rpm's go to zero. I can restart it with no problems and it idles fine, until I come to the next stop light and it will die again, this happens for a few blocks and then it will start running normal again...

Any Ideas to whats causing this?

Re: Similar Prob.

do a compression test as a first level of elimination.

Stalling when you come to a light after running at higher rpms is common if it only happens every once in a while. If it is happening repeatedly then you need to get it checked out. A compression check is always a good idea. I've had the JRSC for 3 months now and it has only stalled once on me and that was 2 months ago.

Compression

Compression is fine.... And it stalls even if i have not been high reving it.... Now this only happens after i've been running the AC for awhile then turn it off... Thats the weird thing...

I had Jackson Racing insall the Supercharger, and normally would take it back to them, but since I live over 2 hrs away, I kind of hate making the drive unless I have to...

Just curious as to if anyone else has run into this..
