Guys i've heard great things about this kit yet only one luder here had it!??! so can someone give me some enlighten on this kit is it worth it?
Before i cough the money for it.
Actually there were two, but only one now that I know of. Chomorro had it and I believe he had decent gains from it. I am still working on mine. It'll be at least two months before I am done.
Not making power, because ?? are you still on stock internals? when was the last time you had a dyno?
like on the previous post what kind of stuff are you fixing?
have you actually driven on the turbo when working how much psi were you pushing?
I never made more than 225whp at 8psi. I was trying to narrow down what it could be and even changed over from AEM to Hondata so that the tuning could be done easier/better. Still no go. There was a brief period where I felt a great gain in power at 5000rpm. It would throw me back into the seat. But that didn't last long as I have blow by and vtec doesn't seem to be engaging for whatever reason.
I am sending out my spare block to be sleeved (JE pistons and Eagle rods are sitting in my closet), so let's see what happens in about 2 months after I boost it to one bar.
Actually JRSC make around 220whp to 230whp at 6psi and I've seen as low as 200whp. But that's not the point here. What I am missing is what I am trying to figure out.
I didn't know you had the same problem I'm having, not being able to make more power... have you been able to do some datalogging with your setup? I haven't been able to after my laptop crapped out. can't afford a new one either
I just bit the bullet and decided to just sleeve the spare block. With the bottom end done, I hope I can stop worrying about a lot of things as long as the tuning is solid. Hope to run at 12psi daily which should put the turbo in it's efficiency range. Let's see what that does for the power.
