Just started JRSC...HELP! Fast..I'm losing it.

Hello...Well I finally was able start-up my car. It seems to idle perfectly and run at low to mid RPMs just fine. Its really smooth and I think everything is OK. Except...My CAI is making a horrible noise at idle. It is fine when I give it a little throttle(like 1100 RPM). It is almost as though air wants to come out of i like pressure is building or something. It is a deep bogging type sound. Is there suppose to be any lines coming off it beside the one going to the valve cover vent? Maybe I need a new filter, but it only has abiut 10,000 miles on it.
Other than that...I am getting no warning lights or anything. I still have to hook up my guages (air/fuel and boost). The didn't send my fuel pressure guage because they were out or something. Can I assume that evrything it OK and take it for a spin. While on the lift and running I noticed a moderate amount of white smoke coming from the exhaust. Is this just condensation or something and will it probably go away?
Thanks again.
Mike

stupid question, but is your oil cap on? Thats the only deep bogging sound i've heard at idle, when the cap is not on.

Yeah,my cap is on. The sound is definately coming right from the filter. I really think air is trying to get out when the engine isn't sucking it in. I just took it off the lift. Here we go!

I'm going to take it back off and check to make sure it is sealed tight. The clamp seemed to be fitting properly.
FYI
To put the CAI on, I had to cut from the throttle body side....I twisted the bracket on the CAI tube and moved the rubber mount to the other hole on the original bracket. It fits very snug. The rubber coupling joining the throttle body and the tube is bent slightly. Has anyone had problems with the CAI?
