Just ordered JRSC. attn IRANMAN

It's coming straight from JR so i'm sure they've got the power steering pump adapter right. Is there anything else I should know about the kit? Are you having anymore problems with it? Any info would be appreciated.

Nope...other than the p/s adaptor, I don't know of anything else that should be of major concern.

Just make sure whomever is installing the kit is competent and able-bodied to do so...I can't stress that enough. This isn't anywhere near as 'simple' and common as the B series installs.

Other than that, be prepared for some fun!!!

Congrats, BLUDE!!

1) Yes you can. You just need to order a different belt. Here's a quote from 'Obsidian' on HP.com:
Quote:
A lot of people have been posting on various Prelude boards about the JRSC kit not working with the AEM Power Pulleys. Well, they worked just fine for me.. you need a longer belt, that's all. The JRSC comes with a 6PK1935 belt.. you'll need a 6PK1970 belt to make it work. The proof is in my profile. :-)
2)Yes, but you need to cut a section of the pipe (towards the end of the TB side of the pipe). It's a PITA to get everything to line up correctly, due to the relocated TB.

3)Don't know. If Crower says Stage 1 is OK with FI, by all means, it'll be perfect for the JRSC. A higher lift and duration camshaft profile works great for any application...it's the overlap that's gonna kill ya.

The only problem I can think of is the tip-in lean condition I experience (along with almost every other JRSC-equipped honda).

I just recently found out JR released a new "Electronic MAP Sensor" Mod, which is supposed to solve this issue, which arises from the ECU's desire to remain in a closed loop (under partial throttle), despite the car's need for additional fuel (due to air volume).

In addition, this "mod," from what I've heard, is packaged with an upgraded BTC and VTEC controller that supposedly retards boost timing under the lower profile cam, but not the radical one. If not this, then it doesn't retard the timine as much.

The mod retails for ~170, so I'm gonna look into it. Monday I'll start making phone calls.

Well im really thinking about installing a charger as well. I have about 3000 saved and was wondering how much you spent on everything without install. Like all the other stuff you had to buy J and S, BTC etc....VAFC? how much did you spend for install, and how much did you spend for other stuff? are you running stock clutch? thanks,
Spencer
