Using it correctly it will bring the intake temperatures down a little bit. You'll gain a little hp, and some detonation resistance. But this isn't an intercooler, it's a water spray that goes into the air flow, you have a resivor to fill up too.
I plan on getting one as soon as possible. It will let you run stock ignition timing adding a few horses. I have also heard it will increase longevity of engine and blower internals, win win situation.
I can't see how it will help the blower life since the water spray should be shot after the blower into the compressed/heated air. But it will allow some timing to backed off and net some more HP if timing issues is one of the things holding (probally is though) the power back a bit.
I, too, don't see how the water injection will affect the blower longevity. It may make your engine last longer by reducing the onset of detonation.
Plus you won't be making THAT much more HP either, especially at 6psi. Chomorro, you mentioned the ability to run stock timing.
Guess what, we all run stock timing. We also can't adjust stock timing. You may be confusing that with what the B-series people can do (which is adjust the base ignition timing via adjusting the distributor). In fact, that's why they don't get a BTC with their kits--it's assumed they'll retard the timing on their own.
Also, many of the JRSC guys are running between 3-5 clicks on the BTC, or 0.3-0.5ΒΊ of retard per pound of boost. Thus, at most, our ignition is retarded by 3-3.5ΒΊ. How much power loss is that? Maybe 3-5HP at most? I dunno...somebody chime in here.
Personally, I'd go with a 25 shot o' happy juice and be running 12's.
And to answer the first half of the original question, No--water injection is not included in the kit.

Iranman did your temperatures go up with lower vtec setings? Besides in CA highest octane rating is 91. I am running on three clicks and have no detonation but it would be nice to have assurance. Are you really going to use Nitrous with the SC? Do you think it can handle it?
are you sure you don't have any detonation? i certainly can't run at 3 clicks on normal CA gas. maybe your messed up fuel scenario is somehow preventing it?
as for nitrous, it's a great way to lower the intake temp in addition to the usual effect. you'll get a much bigger bang out of a 25 shot on a jrsc equipped lude than an N/A one...

I am positive I am not detonating, and your probably right, once I fix my problem I might detonate. Where do you buy your gas? ARCO sucks I have heard of a place by my house that supposedly uses 89 but sells it as 91. I use costco and mobil gas only. Don't you think a 25 shot would blow something? If not what kind do you think is good? I was actually looking into it. ZEX or VENOM.
i don't know anything about the kits specifically - check the fi teg board on hostboard. there are at least two users on there running a 25 shot w/jrsc. i believe one of them took almost a second off his 1/4.
i always buy chevron gas, except when i got to 76 and get some 100 octane to keep the pinging at bay. seriously, i am getting really pissed. it didn't do it when i got the kit put on (or i didn't notice it)... but now with 91 octane and the btc at high noon there are a few very light but audible pings right when i hit it.

No, that person wasn't incorrect. I believe earlier B-series supercharger manifolds were pre-tapped for JR's water injection nozzles, but I may be mistaken.
In our case, you'll just have to tap it yourself into the blower casing, right before the runners (if you can, and don't ask me how!).
I don't see why a lower VTEC setting would cause a large increase in engine temps.
No, I probably won't go with Nitrous. But, if I had the choice, as of right now, to choose between spending money on the water injection, or spending $100-200 more for Nitrous, I'd go for the nitrous.
SCHWETT check this out. try tightening your fpr. I thought that was pinging also but all it was the fpr rattling agaisnt the engine bay wall. Sounds like every description of pinging but it isn't. Try it and please let me know if it worked. When mine was loose it would so called "ping" even at 13 clicks. All you have to do is tighten the fpr bolt that is holding the clamp. Good luck.
lol. it's not that... i wish! i actually have some thin rubber insulating material around the afpr because it sits so close to the side of the body. the set screw was scratching around a bit...

If its not that then check the bottom flange on your header. I broke mine from hard shifting and that used to sound like pinging also. Just trying to give you hope, I had the most frustrating time thinking my engine was going to blow any second because I was detonating at 13 clicks. I cut my flange off and it doesn't rattle any more. should have just bought a new one.
hmm, that would be nice. kinda doubtful on stock headers though... esp since it only occurs between 2500 and 5000 rpm, for just a second.
i am thinking that when i teed my fuel line to install the gauge i may have somehow impeded the flow. the pressures are good, if high, but i dunno. i'm gonna have my mechanic take a look at it.

Remember now, what you're seeing is the fuel pressure being sent to the FP gauge sending unit. This isn't necessarily indicative of what the fuel rail sees. Just a thought
yes, and this is especially true with my setup because the pressure seen by the sender is through only one of the in-line ends of the tee, whereas the fuel rail is sucking gas through the entire tee. if there is an obstruction, kink, or crimp, i would bet money that it's between the tee and the rail and not between the filter and the tee.
