how much boost can a stock H22 head gasket withstand?

ok, let's agree that I mean on a engine that has proper tuning and has been machined properly.

my block is a JDM closed deck w/darton sleeves.
I have ARP head studs also.
does anyone know the break point of the OEM gasket?

I think it will take an excess of 15 psi. Stock H22 gaskets are made of metal.

The OEM gasket is pretty strong. Golden Eagle Mfg. recommends the stock headgasket with there sleeves. The weakest link would be the head studs.

I ask because I blew the Cometic gasket that I had, and I have a stock gasket (new) just sittin around. I just put in the car today, and after careful examination, I belive that It is gonna seal as good as or better than the aftermarket gasket.

hey hustler904, I'm glad somebody saw my lude down there in the no-man's land at NOPI. thanks for takin' pics... that makes my day that somebody else can appreciate my vison for my third gen.

P.S. I also have a fifth gen, another 3rd gen(stock) and an IS300
