Help wiring up an old J&S Safeguard

I just got my hands on an older J&S Safeguard unit...it's a 7-pin unit that
was used on an RX7. Does anyone know how to hook this up on a 99
Prelude (should be the same for all VTEC distributor ignition Hondas?) I
emailed the company, but I found on another board that they may be MIA
there, and not responding to email as of recently...can anyone help?

The only instructions I can find for the unit I have are: 7 pin RX7 installation

However, it seems to be of a similar similar vintage as the 8pin unit: 8 Pin Honda

I'm thinking the following wiring:
Safeguard.....Honda Wiring

Knock -.........MAP
Knock +........Knock sensor
TPS...............VTEC
Out..............Distributor
+12.............Ignition Power
In................ECU
Gnd.............Gnd

For DIP switches:
x x down down
(I believe the last two are a select for the number of
cylinders...and the first two aren't critical for making it work, merely
settings)

Well, John at J&S just got back to me (even on a weekend!) and it turns out the unit won't work on a 4-banger, without being reprogrammed. According to him, it's set up for 1080 deg of crank rotation per engine cycle and won't work with the stock knock sensor. Buyer beware! :P

The upshot is that I got it for a good price (in case I resell it), and John said it can be reprogrammed for $100.
