If you can prove that they damaged the motor by ignorance, you can take them to small claims court. It varies by state, but usually you can get a couple thousand out of people without much hassle. I've never done it, but if you are interested I suggest you do some research on your end.

Before you do anything else, you need to determine what failed in the motor. I would start with a leakdown test, and then a full tear down.

I haven't had a chance to get the leakdown test done yet but I got black smoke pouring out of the exhaust when I REV at idle, I have the idle FP at about 32psi any indication of this being more of a headgasket issue then a major internal issue? I've also seen bombs of black smoke when I accelerate at about more then 40% throttle at highway speeds, but no back firing or anything like that.

I'd stop driving the car, first and foremost. The more you drive it, the more you're digging yourself into a hole. If JG is at fault for component failure, you want it to be evident. That won't be the case if you keep driving it around. And black smoke, isn't that oil burning? I can't remember, so if someone could back me up on that....

I feel for you man, I know how it goes and I know about the feeling of giving up. I have a jrsc 4th gen lude. right after I bought the car stock I bought a new timing belt for it and the belt broke before I had time to put it on, so I put a jdm h22 in it. I added the jrsc to it and broke the ringlands, so I pulled the motor installed golden eagle sleeves, je pistons, eagle rods, stainless valves, rc injectors, aem ems, yada, yada, yada...... had it running great got some bad fuel and then ended up with 4 je forged ashtrays! Got new pistons redid the head again getting ready to put it back together again and my machine shop highly recomends changing out the copper O-Rings in my sleeves with stainless steel ones and using a copper head gasket instead because it will seal even better. Ok I do that and 26 miles later my cylinders are filling up with coolant, pull the head off (by the way on a jrsc car it takes way longer than an hour to take the head off) I find out the gasket was machined wrong and this is whats probably causing my leak....Wrong After 2 more of these gaskets that are made right Im still leaking coolant, I felt like giving up after the first gasket problem but didnt. I went back to the copper orings and a stainless gasket and now its perfect and runs great, no more coolant leaks. I never should have listened to the machine shop and just stuck with what I knew worked and I would have avoided countless hours of frustration, not to mention all the money I spent to do it "their way". By the way I only use 100 octane or more fuel in it now, I can buy alot of race gas for what a new motor cost. Keep your head up things will get better.

And you need to do what some of the other people on here are saying, QUIT DRIVING THE CAR you are only gonna make things worse. TAKE THE HEAD OFF, I know its a pain in the butt to do with the supercharger but its neccessary to find out where the problem is.

Thanks Caz, dude you been through a lot and you stuck to the JRSC? Wow, I thought I had patience with my second motor gone. Well I have kinda made up my mind, for now I'm just going to keep on rolling with the SC belt off, if I want to do things right and from what I've seen work, I will go turbo with a HUGE f'ing intercooler. JRSC's biggest downfall is no aftercooler and detonation just eats our motors up, although some ppl have been riding with the JRSC for years now with great result, I just think if it doesn't work the second time around its time for a new plan. I also want to go standalone with AEM EMS and ofcourse that will require a transmission swap, so it will be a little while that's wussup. Any tips and things to lookout for from turboed luders will be appreciated!
