Help

Hey guys .. i just got my Prelude 4th generation vtir Aus model.. Im thinking of getting it turbo charged or Super charged, however i have a feeling if i get a turbo maintenance is going to be an issue and would probablly would have to change my pistons and sleeves would potentially be very costly. On the other hand a super charger would be great due to they have no lag time and requires no changes for engine sleeves etc... But the problem is i heard that jackson racing only make super chargers for 5th generations unfortunately... does any one have ideas please help!!????

You can do search on this forum. I think this topic came up a lot previously. Here are some to get you started.

side note: 6psi or 8psi is the exact same to the motor, doesn't matter if it comes from a turbo or a supercharger.

^^ No you dont have to change piston rings and sleeve it for a turbo. Forced induction is forced indiction. The turbo has more external maintence such as lettign the car coor down, changing oil MUCH more frequently and a higher implementation cost.

In my opinion turbo is better than the jrsc for preludes. The reliability is going to decrease with pretty much any aftermarket part you put on the car. However with a good parts choice and an excellent tune, you will be able to enjoy a turbo prelude for a long time. I have had 3 and never blown a motor. Spend the extra money, and get a great tune on it.
