actually, i think that mini LED gauge they have would be the ticket. i may pick one of those up and find a nice, readily visible place to put it. the amber one ought to match the stock illumination pretty well!
thanks for the pointer. i will post pics when complete!
Let me know what you think. It seems like it would be alot more useful than the gauge is in it's current state.

Actually, if you guys are electronically inclined, I could show you how to do the mod on an LED O2 gauge (autometer and the like). The parts cost about $5 and it just takes a little bit of soldering and voltage measuring. To make a custom AF meter costs about $20, 10LED and voltage metering is adjustable. I had mine read .600-.999volts which is where you'd like your o2 sensor to be in WOT......
As for the digital version, if you can find a "calibrateable" digital DC volt panel meter, it does the same thing. One thing to consider, the digital voltmeter/panel meter takes samples of the voltage at a regular freq, sometimes 2-10 per second (a bit low). The LED versions don't sample, they are continuously monitoring the o2 voltage......I got a digital voltmeter at radio shack for @$20-30. I use it to measure knock voltage output...
yeah that's the only thing i didn't like about those gauges above - it says 1.5 samples per second. kinda slow!
