I have a 96 prelude si. It has the 2.3 non vtec. It has 224000 miles on it and I was wondering what I needed to do to get in back in shape for about 10 to 15psi daily. Also what is a good turbo that's not real expensive. My budget is 5000 I know its not a lot and it wouldn't hurt to have some left over. Anything would help.
first get darton flanged sleeves and get ur block sleeved and ur crank turned theres a company called star galaxy they make 1000 hrsp rods for 300 and then get a cometic gasket new water and oil pump acl bearings i used kaizenspeed counterbalance eliminater then start piecing it togetherhave some minor head work and use JE forged pistons 9.0.01 compression then pick a turbo kit after all that u can push 500-600 horses
yes u will need to upgrade ur fuel i have 720 injecters juan data system MSD ignition im gonna try out OBX intake and a new throttle body, shop around ebay is the best place for looking and cheaper me i built my motor first ran it without turbo and started building up my parts for the rght turbo kit if this is a budget build

It's dangerous to travel these forums without correct grammar and punctuation. Fortunately, I have some spare periods and commas laying around. Feel free to use them.
Yes you will need to upgrade your fuel/ECU stuff..
Injectors, fuel pump, fuel rail, ECU(your choose there are too many to list) and ignition.
I have heard good things about Hondata software, but bad things about their customer service which is priceless in my book.
Grammar bashing
It’s like that on all forums. If you don’t use proper grammar it’s hard to understand what you’re saying. Most people will just overlook what you’re trying to say without the correct use of grammar.
If not put well we tend to just focus on the poor use of English instead of the message. On a how to forum I can see how important it is for communicating your thoughts, but I tend to butcher English just as bad at times especially when in a hurry.
There is absolutely zero correlation between being a "motor head" and having poor grammar.
Look at it this way: Nobody is going to have any faith in your technical advice if you can't string a simple sentence together. That and the fact that you mentioned 5-600 hp like it's some easy feat.
get a life u pencil pusher, 600 horse is easy, im pushing 650 out of my camaro and i have 683 horse 827 ftpds of torque out of a ford f350 v10, so either way i can crush u. So its easy. Yes the injectors will work if ur planing to create alot of power, otherwise use 550. Just remember, u still have to spend time tuning, thats the hard part

Getting 650 hp is very doable w/ a small block. Trouble is, we're not talking small blocks, are we? Hell, I got a hair over 400hp/500tq outta my Lightning w/ about $1200 in hard parts and a tune.
You'd be doing well to hit 300 w/ a turbo H23 setup, unless you aren't actually interested in it being reliable.
