H23 manifold for turbo?

has anyone made a custom H23 turbo manifold?

would it be possible to somehow weld a plate for a turbo to our
stock manifold? I want to make a very low cost turbo like the
one they made in Honda Tuning this month.

If I could just get past the Manifold part then I would be great.

Here A plan(please give advice if I should change anything)

Eclipse tubo from 95'
Intercooler from same car
Mandrel bent tubing for IC piping
BOV of some sort
FMU
MSD timing retard module-- do I need this?
VTEC injectors for the extra fuel needed
Walbro fuel pump
Boost dependent Fuel press regulator
and all gaskets, tubing, and couplers/fasteners

did I forget anything?

Does the FMU and a boost dependent FPR do the same thing?
then Whats the easiest way to control the boost and keep it to 6psi at all times???

there are lot of users here who have pieced together a turbo setup (i.e. not used a whole kit), but almost everyone has used the manifold from one of the kits. there is one user who made his own, dirtylude maybe, i forget, you can probably find it in a search.

I just thought of this:

Take the turbo and its manifold and make an adapter plate and weld that to the manifold where to bolts to the head. Would that work? I am just going to have fun with this and see if it could work.

remember that the manifold comes out of the head as four separate ports. the turbo has one, thus the purpose of a "manifold" in general - to combine the four into one. you can find a lot of discussion on the net and in other places about the pros and cons of placing the turbo closer or further from the head, but when you say

it doesn't sound like you're going to be provided equal flow from the four ports to the turbo.

That depends, what kinda FMU are you talking about? The FMU from a drag kit is rising rate fuel pressure regulator. The FMU from a Greddy kit consists of a black box and larger injectors.
Easiest way to control boost, a electronic boost controller. A wastegate is always needed and since you want to set it a 6psi, a 6psi spring or lower is needed. Now you'd might want to use an external wastegate since internal wastegates are more prone to boost spikes and creep

I built my own H22 header.

You'll need:

Exhaust flange (You can cut the flange off your current header, if you want)

Schedule 40 gas piping in bends that you want * www.mcmaster.com search for 'butt welds'.

A turbo inlet flange for the type of turbo you're putting on. http://www.roadraceengineering.com/f...andgaskets.htm

You'll also need a wastagate flange if you plan on an external wastegate setup.

Then all you need to do is cut and weld the piping up.
