Yes please specify what problems you ran into.

As a proud SS owner i would like to know what i have to deal with and what i should watch out for when i get the JRSC. Also what kind of things came with your kit. Please let me know.... I NEED THE INFO.

I just found out from greddy that if you have a 00 or 01 prelude and want to turbo kit all you have to do is buy the e-manage unit or a stand alone. The e-manage would be the less expensive option because if you are going to go hondata any way you might as well get a different kit anyways.

I doubt is that easy. If it was that easy, Greddy should of release the kit FCU tunned for the 00-01 prelude already. I am not sure about this but I don't really think the E-manage can solve the problem. E-manage is an add on piggyback that can adjust fuel and timing to an certain degree. Not 100% sure though.

*Note: Got Denso Irdium IK24 spark plug and added octane boost from NOS. The car finally got over 200HP but it was running really hot. The silicon hose melted that connect to the turbo and the EGT was like 700C. Need the Intercooler!!

Sure you could get an e-manage or, even better, a standalone to make their kit work with the 00-01. However, I bet that because they have not been able to get their kit to work with the 00-01 ludes that it also is not smog legal for the 00-01 ludes, so what would be the point of making it work for the 00-01 ludes by getting a piggyback or a standalone? The whole point of the Greddy kit is to be able to install a smog legal turbo kit. Tisk tisk Greddy

Hi everyone... I havent' check out this board for a long time... I do agreed with TurboEvo.. turbo prelude SS does feel good in 1st and 2nd gear.. but 3th and 4th SUCK. I remember I went 14.3 with a Drag Gen II turbo kit @ 8psi when my friend finally tuned for me..

I forgot who mentioned the level ten upgrade kit is only for couple hundred.. Hell NOPE... If that kit only cost couple hundred, I will be the first one to have it... I did my research before I got my 5sp LSD tranny swap. The level ten rep. told me that I will need a torque convertor ($500), and the PTS level 3 tiptronic rebuild kit for Honda (about 3000), labor for removing and installing the tranny is about 800 at a local shop, Shipping the tranny to level then is about 300 and 300 back when is done.. Plus they need about 1 week to work on it and the shipping is another week.. so 2 weeks wait time... If you add everything up, it will cost at least $4500 to do the auto upgrade kit from level ten.

TurboEvo...
$3500 for a 5sp swap is too much.. I got mine done with LSD for 2800... that because my friend covered all the later.. The tranny and other accsseries for the 5sp swap is about 2000, and the LSD unit cost 800... Since you are planning to get 5sp swap, make sure you put in a LSD.. It will help alot, trust me on this...

Good luck on your project.. Keep us update...

I believe his car was either 97 or 98 since that is what Greddy kit was for......and since he didn't make as much power as he wanted to, he is converting his SS to 5-speed.

all and all, i dont really need the kit to put out crazy asss numbers as long as it performs well on the track.A lot off ppl might put out high horsepower numbers, but they can't do shiit at the track, so whats the point of bragging about how much horses u put out?200+ horses to the wheels is still a lot of power and as long as my ss whoops on mustang gts and camaro z28s.I will be a happy person..

97blacklude-do u have a dyno sheet?
