Getting air out of the block

Is there a right way of getting air out of ur block instead of using the valve cover? Spoke to a guy, n he wanted to drill into my block !!! I immediately stopped listening to him , but since I'm a bit ignorant of this topic I thought I'd ask other ppl that actually own a H n know what they're doing .

Air in the block as in in the cooling system?
If its a bubble in the cooling system pack the car on an incline, warm the car up to operating temp, open the bleeder on the thermostat housing and you should get rid of the bubble.

If this is not the problem let me know.

why are you looking to vent your block? are you running a lot of boost?

I have heard of people venting the crankcase at the block, but they are running 45psi or more and are not venting enough thru the valve cover.

Yea I'm running a turbo n tinkin bout running high boost, stuck on 15 lbs for now n from my point of view it feel like I'm not getting enough air out from the valve cover. In my opinion if I target where the air is being held, which is the block, I'll get more air out of it than from the valve cover. My only obstacle is that I dnt exactly kno where on the block I could use as the vent?!? I've been Doin sum reading but can't seem to find what I'm looking for ! So if u like spread sum knowledge! Thanks

Im not sure where on the block to vent, I just vent at the vc and it works fine for me.

tell us more about your setup... like turbo size, exhaust mani, exhaust setup, you might just be getting back pressure there.

Ive done some reading about venting at the block and its not as easy as just tapping it and then putting on some hoses and filters, it requires a vacuum setup to pull the pressure out from what Ive read at least.

I dont see anything glaring that seems out of place or could be causing the build up of pressure you are trying to relieve.

How are you currently venting the VC?
