Fuel pump

Anyone know if the bottom right fuel pump would be compatible in a Honda/Acura? I have no idea how different our fuel pump is from DSM or WRX fuel pumps.

Walbro is 255lph, this one is 290lph. I would feel safer running a bigger pump when going high boost. I really rather not go with an external pump if I don't have to. They are noisy as hell.

Can't really tell from the small picture but it "looks" like my walbro so it should fit...if endyn used to squeeze those big assed bosch pumps into the tank I don't see why this one wouldn't! How much are you planning on upping the boost that you estimate 255lph will be insufficient? IIRC you'll run into a restriction with the lines before then.

Hey Ian. I bought another car to play with. I am returning my Prelude to stock and am going to increase the power on a turbo Teg I picked up (don't know when I'll start doing this yet as I want to change out the interior first from tan to grey). It's a full setup and I wanted to go 720cc with something larger than the Walbro but still have it be intank. This is the first one I found online that is bigger than 255lph. Walbro should suffice (I am upgrading the fuel lines of course) but I'd rather go bigger if I can.

I've heard the Aeromotive external pump and that thing is pretty loud. I am trying not to get that. You also hear the fuel sloshing around in the lines. I've heard Weldon pumps are high pitched as well.

jeeeeeeeeeeeeez overkill, anyone!?!?

the gss-432 flows almost 50% more fuel than 720cc injectors can use at 50 psi with a 90% duty cycle.

that's enough fuel for 400-450 crank horsepower, and it's the injectors that are the limiting factor, not the pump... go to 70psi and you have enough fuel for 500-550 hp, and the pump is still keeping up, although now it's within 10%. at 80psi you've outrun the pump.

the critical factor here is that pressure is more limiting than the pump's rated peak flow. it's entirely possibly that the high pressure gss-342 actually supports MORE HP than the 290lph unit you're talking about does. the 290, and the 255 ratings are at 43psi. different pumps run out steam at different rates as the pressure goes up.
