Fuel Leak Under Banjo Bolt

I was just wondering if anyone else has run into this. I noticed that fuel was leaking and pooling right under the Banjo bolt shown here(I used your pic Schwett, I hope you don't mind). I took it back to the shop and they replaced a washer under the bolt and said that was the problem. When I got home it looked like fuel was pooling a little again under the bolt, but I'm not sure because it was getting dark. Have any of you run into this? If so what is the problem? Thanks in advance...

Re: Fuel Leak Under Banjo Bolt

i assume they didn't remove the spacer under the bolt? it needs to be there since the bolt is turned the other direction. if on the other hand they replaced the crush washer, that's fine. mine leaked once or twice when i disconnected the line and didn't replace the crush washer, and it also leaked once when it wasn't torqued down enough.

They put the spacer back and replaced the crush washer. I think it might just be that it isn't on tight enough. I'm going to try and torque it on tonight. Thanks Schwett...

that's what it sounds like to me.

get a new crush washer, use a 17mm socket and extension (you may need to take the small belt off) and you should be good to go. it's very hard to torque it properly with a wrench of any sort given the limited space between the charger and the valve cover/head.
