fuel filter problems..car is bogging

I think that my fuel filter went bad again. My car is bogging at part throttle like it was when I first changed my fuel filter. Has anyone else changed theirs two times in 50,000 miles? I just changed it around 12,000 miles ago.
Should I go with a different filter than OEM?
thanks.

How do you know that the fuel filter is the problem? Have you ever diagnosed your situation with a fuel pressure gauge, testing various points in the fuel supply? How do you know that it is bogging because of a fuel supply inadequacy, and not because it is running too rich? How do you know that it is not your fuel pump, or the JR FMU, or the JR "ems"? Are you running the JR components, or something else (I forget)? If something else, such as Hondata, how do you know that those components are not the problem? What troubleshooting have you done? How do you know that it is a fuel problem?

lol. any other questions shark?

seriously though, check the fuel pressure. if the filter is a problem, it will be low. the procedure for testing it is very clearly described in the helms. the only irritating part is that with the JRSC the relief nut is extremely hard to get to. do you have an FP gauge, hopefully??

ok here is the deal. I have a hondata 2b with software and burner. I don't see how it could be that because I have been running the same aprox map for like 2 months and it just started this week. I dont know that it is forsure the problem, but last time I changed the fuel filter it went away.

Well I changed the filter and the problem went away. I am running kinda rich right now I need to go to the dyno to get it wide banned since I put my 550'S in. I do have a fuel guage on the rail, I had it set at aprox 40psi when the pump primes the engine, which is HONDATA's specs.

Does anyone know why this might be happening to me? maybe some ****ty gas? Or I also run some octane boosters from time to time, if that matters.

BTW I hate changing this out, I am seriously considering changing the location of the fuel filter, I had to use a tie down to strap one openended wrench to the filter then use another one to pull on the other wrench from abouve the car. If you dont get enough torque on the fitting the line leaks. Has anyone changed their filter location on a 5th gen?

i"m about to change the location on mine and go with a k&n fuel filter. it is much smaller than stock. if anyone has suggestions on where to relocate my ears are open. oh btw, so it boggs due to being to rich at part throttle. I thought that was what was making mine do that. Whats the best way on a budget to fix that or can u?
