Front motor mount in way of turbo (h23)

I searched but couldn't find specifically.

I started doing the build on my 92 h23 today. But I'm seeing a issue. My front motor mount is going to be in the way of the turbo. Anybody have this problem and what did you do to solve it?

remove it or get a plasma cutter and go to town

I can just simply remove it? Won't that cause the engine to move too much?

if you have new mounts like the innovative it wont now if your old ones are there then maybe.....my old 5th gen was boosted and previous owner plasma cut the front mount but just a little to the sides to fit the turbo

I have OEM mounts still. I don't know how much I'll have to cut out, I just got the header and some other stuff off so far.

yes dont start cutting until you mock up the set-up otherwise its going to be a disaster

i had to notch my mount a little to get my turbo to work. I would also recommend the ES inserts (especially for the rear one if youe end up removing the front one)

^What are the ES inserts? I found something about adding poly to reinforce my other mounts. Then I could just completely eliminate my front one.. anybody done that? My buddy did it to an accord and I guess it works wonders.

you can also get a traction bar setup that has a front mount built in. It will give you a ton more room for your turbo and you will still have a front mount. I have a friend with a prelude that just filled in his stock motor mounts with poly and it worked ok, not as good as the EnergySuspension inserts. (es inserts)
