I'm currently collecting parts for my G23 turbo set up- I've hit a bump in the road. I'm not sure how to control the fuel set up. I email the folks at Spoolinmotorsports and they told me to use a boost dependent fuel pressure regulator and recomended the BLOX 12:1 unit I'm currently set up to use a DSM 2gen eclipse set up, I had a custom manifold made to accept the 14b and I've opted to use the factory SMIC to keep things cheap. I'm planning on using the 440 inectors with the clips and resistor box. Isn't 12:1 going to be to much if I plan on running 12psi? because that means my fuel pressure will peak at 144psi shouldn't it be more like a 4:1 FMU?
Since it sounds like you're going the super cheap route I won't tell you how important it is to have a standalone ECU instead of a piggyback or FMU. Instead, learn the hard way by being frugal, you'll regret it, I promise.
With that said, an FMU is an FMU... they are all mechanical and do the same thing. Find a used one for $50 and you're set.

He is not using an fmu. Ditch the idea of the fmu, and get a fuel pressure regulatro and a decent fuel management system. I suggest neptune. you can contact this guy for your needs. he has a shop in FL. its better to spend the extra couple hundred on the better engine managment, rather then having your motor last 1 week.

I don't use an FMU, there's something about knowing exactly how much fuel i'm running that brings peace of mind. I have Hondata s200b w/p72, Walbro 255, and Precision 580cc injectors...
what do you mean by rising rate? It still sounds like you're talking about an FMU... It wouldn't hurt to get an Adjustable fuel pressure regulator because ECU's cannot control fuel pressure...
Yeah I have an Adjustiable Fuel pressure regulator, for my Fuel set up I have a High flow pump a set of 440 injectors a fuel rail and a FPR, I was going to go with a FMU but was urged to go with a standalone. I wasn't sure if I'd still need a FMU in conjunction with an piggy back system or if the fuel curve could be set with the emanage alone.
Ah, ok thanks for the 411, a piggy back isn't that expensive and being that I don't have much in this as it is I can afford to opt for a nice EMS set up making this gorillia turbo a stepping stone to more boost.
e-manage will get it done man, dont ever bother with an FMU ur just asking for trouble, I personally have had a Hondata and now run the AEM EMS and both are very good, but I have tuned many cars on the e-manage and it will most def work as a cost effective route.
you may also want to look into the neptune system, i have heard it is pretty cheap and works very well.
I'm kinda up in the air now I'm waiting to see what Qveon wants for his system. I've heard about the Neptune system but I have never seen it advertised anywhere where can I look into one of those at? just incase Qveon's deal doesn't work out for me
I ran an FMU for 3 years in a previous car. It was ok. And I know a guy that tracks a miata with an FMU. Just make sure your pig rich at all boost levels.
Fuel flow is proportional to the square root of fuel pressure, so at higher boost levels you can go lean. Also around 2-3 psi (part throttle boost) you may go lean as well because the FMU is not increasing fuel pressure over the stock system yet. It needs to surpass the stock FPR. @ 3psi, (3 x 12 = 36psi) not doing any thing yet. FMU's don't start increasing Fuel pressure right away above the static FP.
