I am considering purchasing an FMAX kit. Now the site says you get 288 WHP running open loop and ~240 closed at 9 PSI. Are you guys getting these gains with FMAX? Thanks!

Yes I am. Not as high as 288 but it is very close cuz I'm not perfectly tuned. I've always dynoed with open loop so I'm not sure how big the difference is, but yes you'll be happy with it. Very torquey.

Where you buy the kit from? $3500 is the best price I've heard yet.

My appoligies I should have said 3,500-4,000. I got mine used for $1,600 but I've seen people mention $3,500 before, but I don't have personal experience.
For those that went with Fmax, did anyone get that R-Ideal head gasket over the BTM? I have a custom kit going on this week, and I don't have either(got a Vortech FMU, Jacobs ICE-PAK ignition, 7 series spark plugs, walbro 255 hp pump, Greddy TVVC manual boost controller, Tial 35 mm WG with 5.8 psi spring, and J&S Ultra 2 safeguard). I have stock internals, and I don't want to spend 1000's more builing up the bottom, but I would consider spending another $400 or so to buy and install the R-Ideal gasket if it would allow me to run my boost up from 8-9 daily to 10-11 psi daily(or even if it just meant running safer and less retardation of timing at 9 psi daily). Are these any good, and if so, how can I order one and from who(since I didn't get an Fmax kit and I can't find a site that sells them separately.). Thanks!

I went with the head gasket to lower compression, if you are going to be driving it as a daily driver I reccomend the head gasket in cases where you may have bad gas, this releives chances of detonation.

I believe the head gasket is only $195. But you have to pull the head to do the install so that could be spendy.
