A few misc. turbo questions..

alright..
I live in palm beach Florida and im looking for a reputable shop for installing a turbo kit on my 2001 prelude. I dont mind if the shop is as far north as like orlando or south down near miami, so if anyone can reccomend a good shop with legit prices I would really appreciate it.

Also, if anyone can reccomend a place for excellent AEM EMS tuning or Hondata s200 tuning I would appreciate it as well. I would just go to TPS but they specialize in supra's and sometimes there prices are just garbage .

Lastly, if someone can give me an approximate number on the price of installation of a full turbo kit, including intercooler, bov, and gauges. And approximate price of tuning of hondata and/or an AEM EMS.

Thanks

Use John Reed from Torque Freaks (www.torquefreaks.com). He is one of the best EMS tuners in the country. He has tuned across the world on AEM EMS and the torque freaks 1150 HP supra.
Cost is 850 a day + flight + room ... he buys his own food.

WELL worth it

Some one reccomended Dynamic Turbo here in Miami. I'm gonna probably have them do my Block/ turbo install. I don't reccomend South Florida Performance, they installed some cams in my car and it didn't run right. I took it to another shop to fix it. SFP did a half ass job and blamed the SS tranny! Another buddy of mine had his turbo tuned by someone at SFP and he melted his ringlands a month later.

Did they tune your cams gears or were u on stock cam gears? also i wouldnt' really blame the shop for your friend melting a piston. there's way too many variable like boost spike, long 5th gear pulls, injector problems, mechanical problems

I'd say give south florida performance a call.

They did a head rebuild with Crower cams, Ti retainers, UR cam gears, dual valve springs, and Vafc install. The other shop found the timing was off, valves were improperly seated, and a bunch of loose wires. They gave the car back to me in limp mode, claiming it was the tranny. The car and tranny were fine when I dropped off the car. After I picked it up it ran for 10 minutes before shutting off. During those 10 minutes I kept bouncing off 5,000 rpms. Plus they told me 3-4 days for installation, took them 1 1/2 weeks. I had a very bad experience with them, I reccomend to stay away from them.
