F22a turbo?

This may be a stupid idea, but has anyone turbocharged an F22A motor? If so, what companies make kits? For the money, it's probably worth dropping an H22a into my 4th gen S, but turbo's are so damn fun. Thanks for the info

i thought about this too. with the eight to one compression she could handle alot of boost stock..... anycase mine has 115k miles on it and dont want to buy a new F22 just to try the experiment.

not worth it. drag, fmax makes kits.

for the same money or cheaper you could have a swap.

especially when people who can handle their cars are going mid 14's with a 4g vtec.

turbos are a pain maintenance wise. and the standard drag kit which is cheapest is far from complete.

For the price of swapping in a new motor then adding a turbo you can have your motor semi built and turbo'ed. I think I rather have a built motor boosting over 15psi

how do you expect to mildly build an f22a. the f22a needs to be resleeved just like the h series motors for forged pistons. there is no such thing as a mild build-up on f and h series motors. your options are resleeving and forged pistons.

as for a motor pushing 15psi. a standard drag kit plus extra will get you there. the turbo alone to push 15psi will be $4000 easy with all accessories without labor. the rebuild will be almost as much.

an h22a swap in a 4g s model can be had for under $4000 including installation.

trust me, boost isn't cheap.
