Anything that is 2.25 inch is not going to give you any noticeable gains. If you want to upgrade your exhaust for JRSC, you should go at least 2.5 inch. You should also consider getting an aftermarket cat with 2.5 inch inlets and outlets, as the stock cat would just be a bottleneck, reducing the gains you would see from an exhaust upgrade. And if you really want to get into it, you should also either get a header with a 2.5 inch collector, or have your current header modified with one.

That's why I'm not upgrading my exhaust right away, too expensive.

if you are at all concerned about noise, keep in mind that the large exhausts sported by turbo guys are MASSIVELY quieted by the turbo itself. just the 2.25" thermal on a jrsc setup is very loud IMHO. i can't even imagine what a 3" setup from header to tip would sound like

i heard mike's 3" jrsc itr setup over at dsr once, and it was so loud i couldn't believe he drove it on the street. (in fact one of the guys at dsr indicated that he had many tickets to show for it.)

i have the greddy PE and DC SS header on mine. the dc header is questionable but i gained 16whp over ludersh's dyno, maybe around 12 factor in the atts. i might get a kam header thats 2.5in so we'll see how it goes when i dyno that. gonna be a lil while before i dyno. next time i go back is for the fuel system tuning.

sounds good as far as an exhaust is going to sound w/ a jrsc. its louder now, pitch went up some probably cuz of the exhaust velocity, has more of a whispy sound. this is on the outside, on the inside its just a deep loud growl. SC whine is still louder than everything

i dont see the exhaust making that big of a difference on 6psi of a jrsc...i raced my friend scott in his ls1 firebird before and after i put my header on, and the outcome was exactly the same, he beat me by two cars, and pulled the exact same time.....

I totally agree with C-Redrum on this one. I bought the Greddy EVO for our turbo lude since it has 70mm piping and everything. However, when you put it on the Dyno, it only gain additional 3HP. That is pretty miserable. The flow on the Greddy EVO is not that great but the exhaust is quiet. If you want really power, I would get a 75-80mm muffler and custom built the pipe.

i just dont see 6psi out of a jrsc requiring a large exhaust...now like 10psi out of a turbo, then yes 3 inch would help signifigantly....
