engine specs: clearances/gaps
Just wondering if everyone wants to post their engine specs. I know in the racing scene these are top secret, but on here we're not in competition with eachother, so whatever proves successful could be useful to everyone. This is often where engine failures result. I'll start with a few i remember off hand.
Ring gap 0.009"
Main bearings 0.0030"
Rod bearings 0.0025"
compression 9.0:1
leak down test proved: 3% across all 4 cylinders
engine is real tight to crank over by hand.... suspecting the stock flywheel and very tight ring gaps.
