engine life and such...

can a JRSC be installed on an engine with stock internals, driven hard, and have the engine life expectancy to be (well) over 100,000 miles?

also, do you still shift at 8000 with a JRSC?

Some people can kill anything. You drive anything hard, it'll wear out sooner. Boost it and drive it hard, and yes, it'll wear out faster, no kiddin'. Nobody here has had too many problems, yet. I'm waiting for awhile to see what some of the long term maintenance issues are with the JRSC..

The key to engine longevity under boost is a) tuning and b) maintenance. Once it's running right, I'd plan on spending a lot (if you're that concerned) to make sure the engine is running properly. A lot of time, or a lot of money, anyhow. Things like checking the plugs more frequently, watching your meters, getting a compression check done (I'd like to see before / after data on engine compression on the stock H22A with the supercharger) etc.

No clear answer here. Jackson Racing's warranty applies to the supercharger only, so no guarantees..
