Launching off the two step results in almost 20psi of boost :bigok:
The pulleys were tested using a 1/2 inch belt that was already cut to the correct length... but the skinny belt ended up breaking so Peterson Fluid Systems is making a wider/stronger belt. Should be cut tuesday of this week.
The car makes 210lbs of torque at 3000RPM but needs to be retuned as it is running rich after that (the car made 210lbs of torque peak the last time we tried to tune it)

so you converted the 3 pulleys on the blower side (the blower pulley, jackshaft pulley, and pulley that's a part of the tensioner) to cog pulleys? I'm too lazy to go measure so what are the exact size specs for the cog pulleys?
Im not sure what the IATs are, the car wasnt on the dyno long we just wanted to see how the pulleys were working and how much boost it made.
If the IATs start to get out of control I will either try a second shot of nitrous, activated by IAT at a certain boost level or a water methanol injection

getting the pulleys aligned was a pain... finally done, but I leave tomorrow for four months (military TDY) so I wont get a chance to have the car dyno tuned before then.
I will be back in Jan 08 with the final results

the supercharger hates all that boost. It will make 17psi but now will not hold it once the RPMs start to climb. I think that we are spinning the blades way too fast. That or the bypass valve is failing and we are getting a boost leak.
We will be putting the stock crank pulley back on and watching the bypass to see if its opening up. Then we will run it with the nitrous.
PFI and myself have both been really busy so the car has become a back burner item for both of us. We want to get it finished here soon and as soon as I have another update I will post it

Geramy, I know I talked to you back in the day about all of this (almost a year ago) back when I was still an aspiring tuner with a car that did not even have a built engine or supercharger in it. Now that I'm fully lodged in the game, I'd like to be like you with getting a set of cogs like yours. My 9psi setup slips even though i don't have those smaller endyne pulleys and the dyno results I got were pathetic compared to yours (I only have 230hp). It might be because of the low compression pistons or the ****ty exhaust but one thing is for sure, that 230hp was only at 5psi because my belts were slipping so bad.
Will you ever list the maker of these cog pulleys you got? I would be enormously happy with 12psi with no slippage as I too, intend to go nitrous. I am in awe of your drive and creativity and I would hope that for all of us with superchargers, that we can finally get the reliability we all deserve in our boost and convert to cogs.... or at least me
And just for kicks and giggles, what's the turn around time for Endyne to port out that supercharger like yours anyway?
(p.s. my buildup is listed in the members rides under "the best prelude in the world")

The cogs can be had by calling Brent or Jeff at PFI Performance in Ft. Collins CO
970-377-2216.
they are pretty expensive at around $600 for the two pulleys. you might want to wait until we get eveything worked out on my setup. I have been talking to a few people and we think that even though the blower side pulleys are cogged and wont slip, the crank side pulleys are not and might be slipping... I dont know what we will have to do to fix this problem. I have already added an extra idler pulley to try to help.
You will have to have the outside of the snout of the blower turned down to fit the smaller pulley.
Endyn took about 6 weeks if i remember, that was with shipping there, them ordering a new blower to Intake manifold adapter from JR(moss motors), doing the work and shipping back.

Alright, I believe I will wait and let you be our guinea pig
I imagine what I'll end up doing is buying a whole 'nother supercharger kit and that way I won't have any downtime waiting for it to be ported and for the cogs to get installed in the future. I just seriously want it all to work out to the point where I'll never have to worry about belt slippage again and embarass myself in races haha.
Thanks again for all the information you provide to all of us, I'll be keeping it in the back of my mind until it's ready to go.

No it's not just you, there are no pictures and I've got that lifetime member status. I wish there were though! I remember back in the day seeing those cogs and it was somethin' else!
Why not put some more up Geramy?
