Emergency! Where to drill hole in firewall on passenger side?

I'm installing the JRSC right now and need to know where to put a hole in the firewall for my gauges. I plan on mounting them in the glove box so I would prefer a place on that side. I looked at Schwett's pictures and I'm doing the same idea as him, I just couldn't tell were he drilled the hole. Schwett, if your listening... Help me out!

You don't need to drill a hole in the firewall. There's a rubber grommet that sits almost behind the fuse box on the passengers side in the engine bay. This is where the wire harness from the ecu route to the engine bay. There is plenty of room to route other stuff through it. Just be careful not to damage the ecu wire harness and you'll be o.k. Plus you can retain a weather tight seal if done correctly. I used a coat hangar whick I straightened out and pushed it through the inner side of the grommet. Your looking for an almost vertical angle when pushing through the grommet. Good luck.

sorry no reply, been on vacation, living large at the four seasons in maui. it sucks to be back.

blude has it right. check the JR instructions also, they tell you how to get the vac line for the EMS unit through there. cutting the grommet per their instructions is not necessarily required, but it makes it easy. i have had no problem running a bunch of stuff through there.

Yeah, I posted this late one night. The next day, after reading the response, I read the rest of the manual. Sure enough it said the exact same thing BLUDE said. thanks anyway
