electronic exhaust cutout

I am currently running

jrsc with 6lbs
dc ceramic 421 header
aem cai
greddy evo
aem pulleys
vafc
plx wideband
testpipe

I absolutely hate the way the exhaust buzzes and sounds like a bumble bee with diarrhea. So, I've decided to ditch the greddy grapefruit launcher and put the stock exhaust back in with the testpipe. I still want to "play" sometimes, so I was considering a 2.5" QTEC electronic exhaust cutout in the testpipe. That way i could replace the pipe with the cat and be legal for a day at inspection.

Any comments or suggestions?

I want good flow when I need it or when I'm blowing by mustang GT's or racing an EVO who can't pull away from me

How are you going to ensure that you get enough fuel when the exhaust is bypassed to open header?

Dave makes an exellent point.
A 2.5" cutout will flow a hell of a lot more than the stock exhaust.
Opening that thing will lean you out.
Since our car's ecus can't handle boost, the primary o2 will be of no help in richening things up.
I'd reccomend going with hondata, and wiring the nitrous feature into the cutout so the ECU can dump extra fuel.

Well, in that case a nice set of 550 cc injectors should make it all good. It's going to be loud as **** though
