EGR Problem...JRSC

Alright here goes, I'm not sure if this is at all related, but would the JRSC have anything to do with having a bad EGR valve? My friend and I installed a JRSC on another friends 5th Gen about 5 months ago. Approximately 1 and a half months ago the little belt up top literally exploded on a very hot summer day here and when it did, it took out some vaccum hoses. Two of them were for the EGR valve. I replaced the belt and the hoses at the same time but now for some reason he's throwing a code that comes up with a failing EGR. If you reset the ECU and drive you're okay until you go over 3100 RPMs. If you stay below the light never comes on. The check engine light wouldn't be a bad thing, but he needs to pass emisions right now and he can't as long as the engine keeps throwing codes. So do any of you have suggestions on what to look at or for? Or even what to do? Any help will be greatly appreciated...

Almost cetainly it's a problem with the vacuum line going to the EGR sensor. It's not getting enough vacuum.

If that turns out not to be the problem, then pull th EGR valve off and check to make sure there's nothing visibly wrong with it.

GoBabyGo,

Out of curiosity, could you comment on how many miles were on the supercharger belt when it blew?

TIA

DirtyLude's got the right idea: re-check the all hoses leading to the EGR...you never know if you missed one that was either installed incorrectly or has developed a leak.
