Dyno Results and video

I have a 99 prelude, JRSC @ 6psi, I/H/E and vtec set at 3500rpm. It was a really hot day and my battery kept dying. We had to give it a little jump everytime we turned on the car hehe.

So I took my car to the dyno today over at Speedworks. Its a domestic shop so they could care less about my little 4 banger. The first run I hit 218 but he cut the rpms out at 6200. I guess he thought he was in a mustang or something.

Next run we put my fuel pressure up from 75 static to about 85ish. It made absolutely no difference in the air fuel. My injectors are maxed out. This run he took to about 7000rpm and it hit 222.

Third run put the fuel back to 75 static. Moved my BTC from 3 past min to about 8 past min hoping to richen the fuel mix. It made no difference except for losing power below vtec. Apparently the Jackson Racing VPAC and JR BTC don't work in conjunction. the vpac overrides the btc and goes to full timing no matter what you set the btc at. BTC only works at part throttle

Heres a video of 0 - 100 on one of my first jrsc runs. You might want to try and put the brightness up a little. If anyone can host this go for it. This site is slow when you try and download. I'll get my friend to put it up on his cable modem account later i guess.

Well what do you know? Yet another stock prelude fuel system unable to safely support 6psi w/ JR's kit, especially in the midrange.

The torque numbers sound great, just a shame that we all have to deal with that drop-off towards redline.

What are you going to go as far as fuel management goes? In the meantime, I'd HIGHLY recommend avoiding any more 0-100 runs. At the very least, try not to boost for long in 5th gear at 3.5K-5.5K RPM. You're certainly more than welcome too, but I'd hate to see the "Blown" list contain a greater share of JRSC'ed cars.

Good luck.

racing isn't too bad. you're only in the 13.5:1 5500+
sadly enough it seems its safer to race into redline so you land at 13:1 haha I'm gonna go with bigger injectors and a vafc. I haven't decided between 440s or 370s. Any reccomendations would be appreciated. With the 440s I have the option of the 9psi pulley but it would be on the jimmy rigged vafc system. At the same time I could just sell the vafc and then get a hondata. But i'm too broke for that now.

thanks for hosting jkoc. i was thinking that your site was really slow. Then i remembered I'm on dial up since my cable expired last week

I thought it was a little ironic that my 2500rpm power is about my peak hp before

check out the Street racing forum for a racing vid

hondata and 550's or bigger. go bigger. I ran my car to 100 a bilion times on stock injectors. for some reason I was running a good a/f ratio.

i a

reason why i ask is cuz my friend owns a CL typeS and he always brags to hell that his car kills my car.

when he saw your clip beating a CL type S, he got mad, justifying it by saying "oh he only beat him on the launch, otherwise the CL kills preludes". i tried racing him but i was only able to keep up but not beat him. my launch sux.

i wanna show him a vid of you KILLLING a CL typeS to make him even more mad. hahaha
