Drag Turbo Trouble!!!!!

Damn it I just got word back from the shop that does work on my car that my turbo bearing is bad!!! F**K!!!! I have only had the kit since May. Does anyone have any experiene with Drag Turbo and warranty stuff? The stupid shop was going to charge me to take it off and have my car sit there for weeks until they could find out if they could get a warranty exchange from DRAG. I said screw that I will take the car home and take it out myslef. I was kind of worried about messing up the turbo even more, but my cousin who builds 300zx twin turbo cars told me not to worry. According to him I can actually drive on the turbo with the bad bearing for a while. He has been build ing turbo cars for years so I hope his advice is ok. The car still boosts fine, it just makes some scratching noises when I go on low boost, when it boosts up the sound goes away.
If Drag won't honor my warranty can anyone recommend a good Turbo rebuild company and approximately how much it will cost plus the turn around time?

Ben.

They're more then likely not going to warrenty it, it's not a manufacture defect. 9 times out of 10 the bearing goes bad because the owner didn't allow it to cool down after running it. Try emailing majestic turbo for a rebuild.

Yeah I don't think I can get a warranty exchange. Plus it will probably take forever.
Majestic turbo is in Waco, not to far from here so hopefully I won't be down for long.

Thanks

Ben

is there any other sign of a bad turbo bearing other than that scratchy noise?

The turbo fins are wobbly in the housing not firm. There is play in the turbo that causes the sound. Look at the turbo and touch the fins and see if u can move it around not spining it.
