DRAG 4 install on 5 gen, here is what I've seen so far.

So putting my kit in on my 5 gen these are the items you have to deal with.

You will need to loose your drivers side fan and remove your front motor mount. That's all. Once thats done you should have no issues, at least that was how its gone for me.

Now if you are switching a headgasket, that is a BIZITCH. You will need to buy two tools, one to break the crank pulley off and another to compress some damn retainer to time the motor, that blows.

As for quality, it's great as far as pipes go. Beautifull polished pipe and perfect fitment, odd for DRAG. As for the intercooler it lines right up. I will have pics probably on Wednesday.

do you mean you have to remove the motor mount to install? or do you have to modify the motor mount to get the turbo to even fit?

Huh? You don't need to take off the crank pulley unless you are changing your timing belt. The easiest way is to lock your autotensioner in place by loosening the 10 mm maintenance bolt (has a lock pin on it). Remove the lock pin and use a wrench for the initial loosening and then your hand to fully loosen it. After the tensioner position is locked in, remove the timing belt off the cam gears and move it to the side and then start taking off the head. You will be doing a lot more work if you remove the crank pulley.

Very similar to the FMAX kit, I will post pics as soon as I take them. As for the crank pulley, wish I knew that in advance! We switched headgaskets and it seemed the only way to re-time the motor was to remove it. Damn. Oh well, should have pics this week.

For the T3/T4 to clear you need to either shave your motor mount or remove it.

Well there are 4 mounts on a H22 but we'll see, I can always shave and add the mount back again later. I'm going to run one fan right now and a cooler thermostat.

interresting....

First time I hear about completely removing the front motor mount. I'm sure this is compromising something.

I tried running without a front motor mount for a day and it was way too much vibration. On top of that, my engine was torquing all over the place, causing my power distribution to be very poor. I had a custom mount made to fit where my A/C use to be. Even still, my engine vibrates a lot. I guess Honda knew what they were doing when they positioned their mounts. If I were you, I wouldn't run without that mount. If you do, you'll get really familliar with wheel hop.

I can't imagine that running without the front mount would be OK for the other three mounts, especially the soft, grease filled driver's side mount, not to mention the added torquing of the motor under boost.

I'm gonna see if I can shave the front mount to clear the turbo.
