Artifex, i know.
Right now I'm putting it together with 6psi just to know the difference after i have my motor built and push 9psi.
Everything is on the shelves right now including forged pistons, rods, Fuelab FPR, Injector dynamics injectors and Crank pulley ( same as jonbar described in his thread )
I'm expecting stock engine to last 2-3 months while i collect some money for sleeving and head porting...and hondata.
By this time i will probably be able to present my painfully designed Laminova cooler incorporated into H22 intake manifold as well..so far so good ( designed in AutoCAD for CNC fabrication, cubic volume stays almost same as stock intake manifold with 4 laminovas inside, well... keeping my figers crossed )
Do you think running JR box could result in more damage than just blown rings and leaks all over?
no^. not if you take it easy. You could even drive it using the stock ECU (providing you're using stock injectors) as a matter a fact, but that's ONLY if you NEVER hit boost....although I wouldn't recommend it.

Hey, if you need a motor the master tech at my dealership is selling his Euro-R motor, he said he'd let it go for $1400. I figure you might not want a high compression motor, but that's a pretty fair price. It's pretty low mileage and it's in nice shape, too. I'm in NM, so if you did it might depend on what state you're in also. Just thought I'd ask him, it's a bummer yours is heading down the dusty trail...
I appreciate that. I would love to get it but now that i've sold the supercharger and finally got a bit of debt paid off I don't really wanna go right back where i was...think i'm just gonna run this one till it dies.
thanks for the offer though!!

Any pictures? very interested in seeing this done

The JR kit - right out of the box - ran dangerously lean on occasion. My onboard wideband and high octane fuel has been instrumental in keeping my motor alive during the time I ran the stock ecu. Now running s300.
Yeah I'd like to see that one done too. Definitely post pictures of what you have so far. I know there's a place that makes them that you've probably seen, but not for the Prelude of course. The guy who did my tuning said that the IATs were getting pretty high, and recommended an ice bag and a decent amount of cooling time between passes if the weather's hot. The only thing I would be worried about with an aftercooler is a leak, but that risk is probably much lower than, say, blowing up your motor because of blower heat soak induced detonation. Good luck with the project!
