Boost is worth evey penny of that. I've been without boost for a month now and I'm going into withdraws. The Prelude just doesn't feel fast anymore. I just turn down races now.

I don't see why not. I would get a compression check and if you haven't done your belts and water pump, get that done first.
I can't and won't go FI until at least next year, and I already have 37k on mine... so I'll probably have at least 50k by the time I spring for FI. But I do definitely plan to go 9 PSI, so I may do some internal work before I even put on the JRSC.
By the way, I ran into a friend I haven't seen in awhile last night. He has an Integra (I know, I know). We went at it from a light... and he burned me. Turns out he had a JRSC on that thing... sounded so badass. I can't wait.

And look how long its been in the shop as a result!
HEY! I am doing an engine rebuild which was going to get done anway! I can't help it that my shop is freaking slow as mud.
On that note XilverKnight, I would be totally screwed if the lude was my daily driver. I am sure that my problems weren't due to the higher mileage on my car.

so what shop did you use? I"m looking to build my engine and turbo, i don't really care if the shop is slow, as long as I don't have to go back to them when it blows (ie they do the work right the first time around) I'm in orlando and will be doing FI after I get my house, and i'm lookin for a competent shop that won't rip me off.

Well, I can tell you what shop NOT to go to. It's the one I went to first that ended up screwing everything up to begin with. If you want more info let me know, I don't like bashing businesses for everyone to see.
My car is at Secret Service now (in Clearwater/St. Pete area) and although my car isn't done yet, I have seen work that the mechanic there has done and it was pretty impressive. The guy that runs the place is probably the best Hondata tuner you will run across in these parts too. Because they are one of the best shops in the area, they tend to get a little busy.
I will definitely keep you posted on my progress. As for prices, they are pretty damn reasonable. If you want the number, let me know.

Whatever you do don't take your car to Racing Works in Orlando. For the best work in Central FL, go to Secret Services. They did my Hondata and I have nothing but good things to say about John and Scott.
