do RC injectors use the same clips as OBD1 injectors?

i have a set of DSM 450s and they use OBD1 clips out of a civic, integra, prelude, etc.... My question is do RC injectors use the same clips or do they have some proprietary design that i would have to purchase from them

just in case you were wondering i am gonna get some 550s in place of my 450s

I believe they use obdI clips because I had to get new clips when I got my RC's.

Yes, peak-and-hold RC injectors use OBDI clips.

Interesting, I had always read that one wouldn't need new clips with their saturated injectors.

k I did some research, and I do have different clips.
The RC clips ARE OBDI clips and I had to get new clips put on in order to get my RCs on.

I'd take a pic, but I had to sell my digi cam to buy a winter beater

Does ANYONE have a stock injector they could take a pic of? If so take a pic of the connector (electrical) from a couple of angles, then we can deduce if a clip is needed.

My RC 440's are identical in look... the clip is the same too... preludesh01201 we are trying to figure that same question out. We need someone with stock injectors to take a pic, then we can figure out whether you and I need the clips.. where did you buy the clips at anyways???

By the way, doesn't it look as there should be some kind of o-ring at the bottom of the injector? (Mine is like that too)

I doubt it, but you should be able to get the clips from RC. You might also check the classifieds on h-t. There are some import shops online that carry them, but I forget what ones. You might also check with PO sponsors, one or more might be able to get them. You could also pull some out of a car at a local wrecking yard.

Hi, just a quick quesiton. Do your Honda saturated
injectors require the use of OBDI clips, like your
peak-and-hold injectors do? Thanks.

Thank you for choosing R.C. Engineering. Regarding your previous e-mail, you are correct. Our injector will not fit the OBD2 cars, without the injector wire clips. If you have any questions, please contact one of our technicians at your convenience.

Thank You,
R.C. Engineering
