buying a turbo questions

so i have a 2001 prelude se it has minor upgrades(below) and i was planning on getting nos this winter. but i just found a local add for a turbo kit that is very cheap. the biggest plus is that the seller can install it for me for free.

my first question is what is a dual wet float bearing turbo? from my research they spool up slower, but last longer.

if i want to replace my turbo with a better one do i need to modify the downpipe?

the kit doesnt come with gauges, do i need gauges? or can i live without them for a few weeks.

do i need it dynoed as soon as i get it put in?

what else do i need to have for my engine?

mods
skunk 2 intake manifold
cai
strut bars
stage 2 clutch
9 pound flywheel
new ngk iridium plugs with wires
header back exhaust
and i cant remember the rest.

i have used the search tool. just looking for some additional information
thanks,

you keeping your ac and other components will depend on your turbo manifold, down pipe and such... how about you ask the owner of the turbo that you want to get installed.. see if he had it.

down pipe may or may not need replacement for upgrade. depends on the turbo.
you can do without gauges.. althouhg not a very good idea..
also you will need some type of engine management system.. or a modified obd1 ecu, and the adapter harness.
