Bore'd out TB on JRSC

Has anyone ever done this? I was thinking of doing another mod without bumping up the boost. I think this may help out the engine more than on a high hp N/A motor, but I'm not sure. I think the JRSC dosn't like a lot of intake restriction, that's why people say to use a short ram (I use a CAI). What are people's thought on this mod? I was thinking of only boring the stock TB to 65mm.

I could only see it helping, and I suspect it may lower your intake temps a bit. It seems to me from my observations that the more intake restriction there is, the higher the temps tend to get. That's why I'm now running a short ram, despite running 9 psi. I need to actually datalog the IAT for SRI and CAI to be sure, though.

Ya, that's what I was thinking too... It should help the intake temps a bit. I could always port out my S-tube as well at the same time. Smooth it out for less turbulance.

Yeah, I was gonna ask - what size is the inlet to the S-tube?

I don't know??? I can only guess that it matches the stock TB. Can anyone confirm?
