i am wanting to boost my h22a4 but i dont wanna blow it up can any of you tell me if im going to need to invest in sleeving the block or not n some of the other fundamentals of it
A healthy engine + the correct assortment of parts (meaning no log manifolds and other manifolds that have proper wastegate placement) + tuning will make it last for awhile if you treat it right.
It is a good idea to buy a bare short block and start building it on the side. And regardless what people tell you, if you arent wanting some incredible amount of power, say 700whp, you dont need the heavy sleeves. The Darton dry sleeves are plenty and are very strong, not to mention much less than the MID's.
