Boost good Trany blow up bad.

Yeah i've had the blower on since novemember of 01' and didnt even drive the car that hard and the tranny blew up on it. I have no clue? I didnt even drive the car that much and i rarely beat on it. Well whatever, now i need to find a used one. If anyone has any suggestions of ideas of what and where to get one let me know. I was wanting a JDM w/LSD but ill take what i can get. Thanks.

SportShift or 5speed? Because it seems like alot of people have problems with their SS trannys.

I recently installed the JRSC on my SS, and so far so good (knock on wood). Its been only a week tho, but I've been driving pretty hard (with the BTC set to 8-10 clicks.)

5 speed

Yeah man its a 5 speed. No one would belive me, but yes it is. The deal is i was just driving normal when i shifted from 1st to 2nd and when i went into second it was like shifting into a void or a black hole and then CLICK CLICK x10. So i was able to drive it to the shop. Here i am now. What do you guys think?

Syncrow

Ummm they havent opened up the tranny yet. My mechanic sent it over to another tranny shop cuz he doesnt have time right now (too busy with the 944 race car). He told me it may be cheaper to just get a used tranny. Its kinda a gamble he thinks cuz its gunna cost money just to break it open and see whats wrong. Let me know what you think i should do. I found a 95 h22 JDM LSD for 1000. Those are my options and also a stock trans is always an option too.

That sounds pretty good. But then again, how do you know the Synchro in that JDM Tranny isn't bad also? I would recommend getting it fixed. Buying another used tranny is just risky IMO

Well i ended up getting the JDM tranny. It only has 30k on it so well see. I'll just get that cuz LSD from KAAZ or somewhere like that is near 1000 anyways. At least from what i have seen. Is there anything i can do to make this tranny stronger before i put it in? Thanks for you help.
