Boost & dinan stage 2 chip

Hey guys, I'm new to this site and I must add that from what I've read here thus far, I'm really impressed. Way more tech info than the other sites...not that I'm cutting them down or anything So I just had a quick question here, I'm borderlined boost and currently I have CAI, dual exhaust (cat back) and a dinan stage 2 chip. With these mods, I'm spanking a lot of cars, but I need to know if my chip is compatible with boost. I've heard that they advance timing, but I'm not sure. I like the rev limiter cut out. It's pretty sweet. Anyway, some help would be great! Thanks

The Dinan chip is going to work against you. It's does the opposite if you want to do.

Since you already have OBDI I'd recommend going with the Hondata 2b and larger injectors. You could sell the Dinan chip to someone else and you wont need to buy the FMU. The Hondata may not pay for itself. but it'll be close and it gives way more functionality.

So how exactly does the hondata thing work. I've heard of so many people turning to it, how exactly does it work and why would I not need an FMU with it? How much does a hondata system cost? As for the injectors, what size should I go with, 330 and how much do they cost?
As for the dinan chip working against me, what can I expect if I keep it in and say I'm running 7-8psi of intercooled boost, an FMU with a 10:1 rate of gain, an inline fuel pump, stock internals, stock ignition system/components, stock injectors, multi-electrode spark plugs (probably colder heat range) and I think that's about it.
I'm trying to do a junkyard setup, so I'm trying to keep costs down. I really want to see if I can do this on a tight budget. I know that turbocharging a car is expensive and I realize that many people spend countless dollars on doing so, but I'm trying to break the norm and really see if it is possible to do what I'm doing! If it works, then bonus, if not, then... we'll have to see. Thanks again for the input!

Hondata 2b is $645.00. ImportParts.com was clearing out 440cc injectors for less than $300.00. You'd have to find the post on Honda-Tech.com where the advertised them. After that you'll need to get it tuned. The 2b is really just a chip like the Dinan Chip, but mapped for boost. It can be reprogrammed by anyone with a Stage 4b.

You don't need a FMU with the Hondata because it maps fuel past 0psi. With the bigger injectors you can keep your fuel pressure low and just map fuel based on boost.

I guess you have to decide wether you have enough money to go with the Hondata or just want to try the FMU with fuel pump. If you're going with the FMU, sell, or trade the Dinan ECU/Chip for a stock ECU. The timing is advanced on it and the fuel will be leaner to make more power. You'll be able to run less boost with it before you start getting predetonation.

Yah, I think I'm gonna try the FMU and fuel pump for now, they r more my budget! As for the chip, what do u mean that the fuel will be leaner? I thought that it would be richer? And what do u mean that I'll be able to run less boost with it until I get predetination? Thanks again man.
Oh yah, in terms of an FMU, what should I get; an 8:1, 10:1 or 12:1? and do u think I could try it with the chip in place? If in fact the chip would cause my engine to run lean, would a higher fuel pressure compensate for this. I mean, if I notice detination with the chip in, I can always have it removed. It cost me about 40 bucks canadian to install it. Thanks again.
